Elwood Corporation and Rockwell Automation have expanded their technology license agreement to include the medium inertia, Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley F Series. Elwood has been producing the F-Series motors for Rockwell for the past 5 years under a Brand Label Purchase Agreement, dated September 8, 2008.
The expansion of the technology agreement allows Elwood to produce the F-Series servo motors under the Elwood name and market the product through both the Rockwell Automation and Elwood sales channels. The F-Series motors will be marketed, along with the other Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley legacy servo motors Elwood already supports (H, N, W, and 1326AS Series) through the Rockwell Encompass program.
Elwood privides long-term support for all the motors it produces. Both current and new customers of the F-Series servo motors should be comfortable in the extended support that they will receive. Elwood has added the F-Series to its Lifetime Support program. Through the program, Elwood provides new motors, rebuild service, and OEM repair parts into the foreseeable future and without planned obsolescence.
The addition of F-Series motors to the technology license agreement between Elwood Corporation and Rockwell automation expands a partnership that includes Elwood’s SX-Series (explosion-proof) servo motors for the strict demands of hazardous gas/vapor and dust environments.
Elwood produces High Performance Motors in its 80,000 sq ft facility in Racine Wisconsin. Elwood is the original equipment producer of servo motors under the label of Gettys, Modicon, AEG, Gould and API.
Elwood Corporation is an Engineering-Manufacturing company with product lines including servo motors, hydraulic valves, photoelectric controls, proportional solenoids and high voltage capacitors. Elwood, founded in 1973, has facilities in Oak Creek, WI; Racine, WI; Cedarburg, WI and Dalian China.
