Accumulator System Shut-Off Valves
Elwood designs and manufactures accumulator system safety valves that shut off pressure when determined levels are reached in a given system

As system pressure builds, the Accumulator System Shut-Off (ASSO) Valve shuts off pressure when determined levels are reached. Once the valve has closed, air pressure to the cylinder alone will not open it. The pumps must be used to create pressure in the system equal to that in the accumulator. Only when this balanced condition exists can the valve be opened by pilot pressure.
During normal operation, this valve is PLC controlled based on accumulator fluid levels.
If Elwood’s standard line of Accumulator System Shut-Off Valves do not fit your system’s requirements, please request a custom design and our team will design the valve to fit your needs!
