Control Function

All controller output is either energized when signal is received by sensor (light energized) or on when signal is removed from sensor (dark energized). A logarithmic scale sensitivity adjustment is provided for controlling what level of signal is required to trip the controller. The various function options control the relationship between output and the presence or absence of signal.

Time-delays, latches, and counters are available for effecting the function of a controller.

The simplest type of operation that a specialty controller can provide is on-off which simulates the typical operation of a limit switch. Many applications, however, require more complex functions.

These functions are provided by means of a variety of plug-in function cards or options that can be installed in many Autotron controls. These functions provide anything from simple time delay to complex shift registers and batch counters.

  • Light-energized or dark-energized mode selection is made on control by means of a convenient pigtail connector or switch.
