RF (electromagnetic)

Detect the presence of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals by electromagnetic interference.

RF proximity detectors have no moving parts, do not require direct contact with the parts being detected, and exert no pull on the objects being sensed.

However, the part must pass very close to the sensor (e.g. 1/4'') or though a small hole in a sensor plate.
