Automatic Delivery By Count

This is useful for deliveries to trucks, to cars and to stock.

The operator set the quantity to be delivered on the batch counter, presses a start button, and a conveyor start delivering containers. A photoelectric control beam is directed across the conveyor, and each case breaking the beam is counted. When the preset quantity is counted, the batch counter signals to stop the conveyor.

In situations where the cases or containers are often touching each other on the conveyor, it is best to locate the light beam across an end of the conveyor -- i.e., where it dumps to a slide.

Photoelectric batch counters are widely used four counting package quantities of widely varied products, counting imprint runs in printing plants, and measuring wire and cable lengths.
