Product Under Speed

If it is important to detect speed of product movement in a processing or packing operation, photoelectric controls can alert operators of any stopping or staring of conveyors.

A control and reflector are mounted on opposite sides of a moving conveyor. As long as the parts or containers on the conveyor are moving faster than the set speed, the control relay remains energized.

The relay de-energizes when movement slows or stops.

Photoelectric speed detection systems can help coordinate different operations that may be geared to the rate of movement of materials or fabricated parts on a conveyor.
