Automatic Door

A pair of through-beam photoelectric controls can be placed across the traffic path near the ground on opposite sides of an automatic door. The door opens when the first light beam is interrupted and closed when both light beams are restored.

The advantages of a photoelectric door control (for garages or other facilities) are:

  • The door is self-closing and self-opening.
  • The door may be opened or closed automatically from the inside or outside.
  • Traffic entering and exiting is greatly expedited.
  • If street traffic is heavy in the area where vehicles enter, photoelectric door controls can make entering and exiting much safer, since vehicles are stopped only momentarily while the door opens.
  • Security is increased because when the control is turned off, the door is locked until the control is turned on.
