[Include all diverting equal batches application information on a single page?]
Diverting Equal Batches
Equal batches of containers must be shunted onto two diverging
conveyors at a junction in the main conveyor.
The photoelectric batch counter counts each container when it
blocks the light beam directed across the conveyor at a point just
before the diverter.
When the set number of containers has been counted, the batch
counter relay energizes the diverter solenoid, resets, and starts
counting the next batch.
When the next batch is completed, the relay de-energizes the
solenoid, and so on.
If a void appears on the main conveyor, the batch counter will not
operate the diverter until the container count for each batch is
complete.
