Fill By Weight

Photoelectric controls provide a high degree of accuracy in weights and measurements that is difficult to match with any other equipment. A light beam can provide a sharp, weightless ''stop''.

A package being filled by weight is placed on a balance beam. When the reference-weighted scale arm opposite the package rises, it interrupts a light beam and energizes a control relay. The relay operates the packaging machinery and replaces the filled carton with an empty. The control may also be used to pulse an electric counter.

Photoelectric controls can be easily adapted to almost any filling packaging operation and actually speed up production while consistently providing accurate weights and measurements.
