High Speed Steel Sheets

High-speed counting of steel sheets, especially if there is limited space between sheets, is a difficult feat unless Autotron photoelectric controls are installed. Then it becomes easy to keep an accurate, automatic count regardless of the speed or spacing of sheets.

A compact through-beam source/sensor pair is mounted to direct a beam between rollers on which the sheets are conveyed. The beam is blocked by sheets, except during the small gap between sheets as they pass.

Impulse actuation of the timing control is almost instantaneous. The narrow space between sheets permits 0.01 second exposure of the light beam to the sensor. This split-second exposure time is enough to operate the counter. The time delay provides the ''on'' time required for counter operation.
