Liquid Level

Non-insulating liquids such as acids, bases, salts, milk, beer, water and ammonia may be detected using conductive controls.

A pair of electrodes are mounted above the maximum liquid level. with conductive rods extending down to the desired control points.

Alternatively, they may be installed at different heights in 1/2'' iron pipe fittings through the tank walls.

The two-electrode system (frequently referred to as pump up/pump down) ordinarily reduces the operating frequency of pumps, valves, etc. With this system, the control stops liquid input when the liquid make contact with the high level electrode.

Liquid input remains stopped until the liquid falls below the low level electrode, when the control starts liquid input.
