Shaft Rpm

The speed of high-speed rotating machinery can be monitored by directing a photoelectric proximity control at the shaft, which has a patch or reflective tape attached.

Rotations may be counted, or, by using an over/under-speed function card, action may be taken when the machinery speed is either too low.
