Showers
With the rising cost of utilities and the increasing scarcity of
the most natural resources, photoelectric timing controls are being
used in many areas to conserve energy and resources.
For example, photoelectric timing controls can be used to regulate
hot water use.
When an individual enters the shower, they pass through the light
beam of a control directed across the entrance. The control energizes
-- turning the shower on and staring the timing period. The entrance
of another individual begins another period.
When all timing periods expire, the control relay de-energizes and
turns the shower off, preventing water waste.
