Stacking To Count

A single photoelectric batch counter can be used to pile an equal number of objects in a stack on a conveyor, and to move the conveyor after each stack is completed. The entire counting, stacking and stack removal operation is automated.

Objects are piled up onto a motionless conveyor belt by a stacker machine. The light beam is positioned in such a way as to count each item as it drops to the stack conveyor. When the pre-set number of items has been stacked in a pile, the batch counter triggers an electronic timing control.

The timing control operates the conveyor the required distance for a new stack.
