Vehicle Over Height Detector

Strategically located photoelectric controls in the docking areas of truck terminals and warehouses can be a major factor in preventing damage and accidents.

A light beam is directed across the roadway before a low clearance area, with the beam just above the maximum safe height. When the light beam is broken by the trailer (or cab) and alarm operates to give advance warning of an impending collision.

The photoelectric control has high immunity to ambient light, even sunlight. Anti-fog lens heaters and hoods prevent malfunction due to lens fogging or accumulation of rain, ice or snow.

The control provides a one-shot relay operation to avoid continuous alarm when a vehicle stops in the light beam.
