Flying Ejection Path

Another reliable automatic system for protecting dies and presses, as well as counting parts, is with an impact switch plate.

This system is ideal when it is not practical to use a light beam or sensor because of the method of ejection.

A properly ejected part strikes the impact switch plate which energizes the control relay. The control recycles the timing period for the next stamping and may operate a counter.

When a part is improperly ejected and fails to strike the impact switch plate, the press stops.

The press and electric counter continue to operate efficiently and safely as long as parts strike the impact switch plate.
